8. You are laid back.
9. You have those amazing eyes.
10. You are up for adoption and waiting for your forever home.

Please Contact Us for more info.  This beautiful girl with her chipped teeth needs some permanency (those teeth are a sign of a long life of chaining).

Angelo…

I Don’t Think You Are Ready For This “gel-y”

And I am coming…Soon! To the ATX. So, get ready.
I rock, just like the ATX.  Ladies, if you would like to know more about me contact: volunteer@love-a-bull.org.

Don’t Hate Me Because I am Beautiful – Shiloh

Shiloh came in through the backdoor.  But will leave through the front.

Shiloh is the pregnant doggie that snuck into a man’s backyard in Luling. Leala and Lydia (L-A-B Board Members) went out there and brought her to Austin, as well as worked tirelessly to get her up to date at the vet, a foster, and spayed after she had puppies.  Oh, did I mention that Leala helped the guy get his other dogs fixed  (THREE OF THEM)?  No, well..yeah.  She did.  She pretty much kicks butt.

Anyway, Shiloh here has been loving life in foster care – but still needs a forever home.  She is insanely beautiful  Like, crazy (so cray – zee, mah bay-bee) beautiful.  She is sweet as pie and loves other animals.  And those eyes.  THOSE EYES.

What is it that they say about Prince (the Purple One, not the English one) and his “deer eyes” ?  I think it’s – if you look at him directly in the face you’ll be drawn in and fall in love.

Yeah.  Kinda like Shiloh (heart thumping).

Jasper

“MEEEE TOOOO, PLEASE?”

Wow. What a difference a few months of love and attention can do.

Jasper wandered up to a farm a few months ago and joined a farmer’s pack of 5 dogs and horses. Can you imagine? Farmer walks outside to feed the animals and there he is – hand out, mouth open. “Meeee tooo! Meeeeee toooo!!!”

Long story short, the farmer couldn’t keep him, posted on Craig’s List that he was going to take hm to a shelter, and an AWESOME foster named Christina (whoop, whoop) showed up to help out little Jasper.

When he came to the family, he was nicked and scratched and covered in what looked like bites. He was bummed, to say the least. Oh, and did I mention he was heartworm positive? Well, he was heartworm positive.

Christina and her family (which includes a doggie) nursed him back to health. His hair has grown back and covered up the scars from the past. The love and care that he has been receiving has started to replace the presumably scary and hard life he had before. And now – he is ready to start his forever life.

I am ALMOST as superstitious as a baseball player. So, I am going to reserve some of the story until it pans out. But, just know he is fixin’ to be done with heartworm treatment, and is possibly going to a new home!!! Ok, ok… I will update later. But, let’s all knock wood, throw salt over our shoulders, wear the same socks like a baseball player and hope that with all of that – it will work out in Jasper’s favor.

In the meantime, check out this link. These are pics of Jasper from before and after..

Jasper

Amazing – right?

SOME ALREADY ADOPTED FELLAS AND GALS (because we know you like happy updates)

Sir. Charlie

Remember Charlie?  His so-called family moved out and left him, BLIND in the yard, pretty much starving???  A few neighbors and folks got together to help him out and spread the word about the poor babe.  Well, L-A-B member extraordinaire Karen Cole stepped up and adopted him.  Charlie’s right eye is doing great.   Neither eye has tumors, which is great news!  The left eye didn’t have any cones or rods in it – all eyes typically have rods and cones in them.  The pathologist used is one of the best in Texas and he said he has never seen that – EVER.   That’s our boy!!!  He also had his first doggie ice cream and bully stick this week.  No, not at the same time!!  Karen reports that he continues to be the happiest of boys (as all pitties should be!)

Lady Elsa

This Speaks for Itself…

I won’t pollute this outpouring of darlingness with my commentary.  Read for yourselves folks.  Update on Baby Girl from her Mom.

When Love-A-Bull posted a plea for someone to foster a sweet puppy that was about to be homeless, we figured, what’s one more? We offered to foster 5 month old Baby Girl. After meeting her, we could not fathom why anyone would even think of turning her out on the street. She is simply puppy perfection.

We set out to integrate her with our pack and get her ready for her forever home when someone adopted her. Little did we know, she was a quick learner and eager to please. In one day she knew sit. In two days she knew down and then wait and drop it. This girl is a smart cookie! The more I tried to write a fantastic bio so someone would want to adopt her I found myself not being able to do her justice.

She fell right into place with our two large dogs (one pittie and one retriever).  She plays and plays and runs them ragged. She is pure puppy joy and we decided we could not bear to give her up. We have renamed her Elsa and are looking forward to many years of showing her how great life can be with a family that treasures you. As you can see from her picture, she’s pretty darn happy here.

Smiley

We have already updated you on Smiley, but we got this fabulous picture from his adoptive mom, and well ’nuff said…from six years on a chain to this…
