This form is for people who are trying to rehome a stray or rescued pit bull. Please review our page about rehoming strays and rescues before filling out this form. If you are trying to rehome a dog that you own, please see our Owner Surrender page.
If you are a Texas resident trying to find a new home for an abandoned or rescued pit bull, Love-A-Bull will post your dog’s information on Petfinder and on the Love-A-Bull website as a courtesy.
If you need a courtesy post for more than one dog, please fill out a new form for each dog.
The post will remain active for two months. Please contact us if your dog finds a new home before those two months. If your dog is still available for adoption after two months, and you would like the post renewed, you will need to fill out the rehoming courtesy post request form again.
The following requirements must be met before we can accept your post:
- You must be the primary caregiver or foster for the dog.
- You must be located in Texas.
- The dog must be spayed or neutered. Eight weeks is generally considered the minimum age that a puppy can be safely spayed/neutered. If the dog is too young to be spayed or neutered, it is too young to rehome. If you would like information or assistance for spay or neuter, please contact us at info@love-a-bull.org.
- The dog cannot have bitten a person and/or cannot have been legally declared a “dangerous” or “vicious” animal.
Starred fields are required information. The more information you can provide about your dog, the more interesting your dog will be to prospective adopters.
