General: Scars

Foster mom says everyone has scars – some outside and sometimes on the inside. I have them. I got foster mom to take a picture with her new camera.

This is my elbow and leg. See the scars?

Here is also a close up of my face. You can’t really see too many scars on there.

Just because I’m a little scarred on the outside, doesn’t mean my insides are scarred. Foster mom calls me “a love.”  She says the family that adopts me is going to be very lucky. I think I agree.

General: I’m Here

It’s me, General. Foster mom’s camera broke so she hasn’t taken any new pictures of me. But foster dad got her a new one for her “birf-day!” She takes a picture and then says the word “crap” or “shoot” or some other words that aren’t too nice. She said she has to “get the hang” of the new fancy camera. Until then, I just keep sleeping and eating.

Speaking of eating, don’t tell foster mom, but Little Kid gave me some cinn-a-min toast this morning! It sure was good and softee like. And sweet! I like sweet.

General: Sit!

So, if you remember, Foster Mom makes me sit before I get my food. I know it’s hard to believe, so I asked her to take a picture of me doing it. At my age, it’s hard to get back up again. She should know this.

General: Crowded Crate

I followed the Little Kid into the crate when she went in for some cuddles with Foster Sister Cara. I like to follow her because she eats a lot and likes to share! Notice how I close my eyes just in case Sleep happens to find me.

General: My Most Favorite Things

Foster Dad took this picture of me and Foster Mom SLEEPING, which is one of my favorite things to do! Foster Dad said we were both snoring. See how my big head is laying on her shoulder? I like to put my head on softee places when I sleep.

General's Sleepy Time

My other favorite thing to do is EAT! At my old place, food didn’t show up every day. But here at Foster Home, I get food every day. And it even has water in it so it’s not too hard. My teeth aren’t what they used to be!

And just between us, Foster Dad played me a recording of Foster Mom snoring. I had to tilt my head way to the side to hear it good. Now – I never met a bear for real, but I bet it sounds like that. Not that I care – as long as I can lay my head on her when I sleep, I’m good!

General: Slander

I really like to sleep on Big Kid’s bed since it’s soft and large enough for me to spread out. But I may have to sleep on Little Kid’s bed after what happened last night. Big Kid went and got Foster Mom and both came back to Big Kid’s room. Big Kid said she couldn’t stretch her legs – well excuse me for wanting to sleep next to you.

Then – are you ready for this – she accuses me of PEEING ON THE BED! If I wasn’t so comfortable, I would have gotten up to defend my honor.

Foster Mom made me move anyway to check. You know what it was??? Big Kid’s wet bath towel. Yep. That kid ought to know not to leave wet things on the bed.

I thought it only fair that I share Big Kid’s pillow after that. So that is where I went when Foster Mom made me move. Big Kid laid down next to me and put her head on me – so I forgave her for slandering my good name.

General: Let me introduce myself

General
My name is General – I think. I know when I hear that and go over to the Nice Lady and Nice Man, they give me good things to eat. So I’ll just keep doing that. They say old dogs can’t learn new tricks. Well, let me tell you, since I’ve been at Nice Foster Lady and Man’s house, I’ve learned about things called ”cou-ches” and “beds.” They sure are softer than the ground I used to lay on. My elbows and ”moobs” (Nice Lady says I have these, and I’m sure it’s a good thing), are kind of worn from laying on hard stuff. I’m also learning to sit before I get my food, which sure is a bother. But now I get really good food every single day and the best part is: right after I eat I lay down and sleep, which is my bestest thing to do. I wake up in the morning, go outside, come in, get on the “cou-ch” and sleep!!! Then later I get to go outside again, come inside, and maybe get on my blankets. And sleep! The Foster Kids even cover me with a pink blanket, and I don’t even care that it’s pink! It sure is better here at Foster Man and Lady’s but they say I’m looking for a real home and it would be even better. If there are soft places to sleep in my real home, I’ll be so happy!
