Laura first got involved with dog rescue while living in Seattle where she fostered & volunteered with ‘Georgia Peaches Puppy Rescue’ who mostly pulled pittie mamas and their puppies from euthanasia lists in Georgia in partnership with local “friends of animal control” groups. During this time Laura learned a lot about the challenges shelters and rescues in the south had been facing & uncovered a passion for helping the often misunderstood pitties get a second chance at a happy ending. 

After the pandemic, Laura, her spouse, & two senior rescue pitties relocated to Austin to be closer to family. After losing their eldest pittie to cancer, Laura knew she wanted to get involved in pittie rescue again. Laura found Love-A-Bull through social media and quickly started volunteering wherever possible by doing freedom rides, fostering, fundraising events, & helping with the community assistance program. Laura’s family then fell in love with their very own Love-A-Bull foster, Milo, and adopted him in April 2024. 

In her professional life, Laura is a Product Manager at YouTube. Laura joined the Love-A-Bull board as Secretary in mid-2024.
