After patiently waiting for almost 30 years to adopt her first dog, Nisha got the chance to rescue a beautiful pocket pittie named Noma. Adopting Noma opened her eyes to the unfortunate struggles pit bull-type dogs face and the common misconceptions others have about them, sparking her interest in animal rescue. Nisha moved to Austin in 2023 with her husband and pup and immediately became involved with Love-A-Bull by managing the website/e-mail communications and by becoming a foster parent.

Her favorite parts of getting involved in rescue work have been seeing shelter dogs thrive and shine after being rescued and being part of an organization with other passionate volunteers that are so committed to improving the lives of pitties.
