April 2020 Newsletter – New Hope Animal Hospital Partner Spotlight

Dear Friends – Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time. There are multiple rural shelters at maximum capacity and animal care and rescue workers are in high demand. Love-A-Bull is doing all we can to lighten that load by continuing daily operations and remaining committed to our mission. Thank you for donating, volunteering, fostering and adopting!
**Graphic Images Warning**

Love-A-Bull received an urgent call from a Grand Prairie shelter. They had received a stray in very bad condition, needing immediate medical attention. The day after St. Patrick’s Day, two of our Board Members made the 3 hour drive to give this pup his freedom ride …..and the name Clover! He’s fought through two surgeries and is healing and getting so much love he deserves from his foster family. We are expecting a full recovery and then he will be ready to find his forever home!

ADOPTIONS:
Just before Christmas last year, our Mama Ray gave birth to 10 puppies, the Baker’s 10! They kept us very busy, including their debut at puppy yoga at Inner Diva Studios. In February, all 10 puppies were adopted into their forever homes! Also adopted this year were Skeeter, Meg, May, Charmin and Brawny!

FOSTERS: We are so proud that our supporters have truly stepped up to foster so that we can continue to keep pulling dogs from local shelters. Pitbull type dogs are typically the first to be euthanized and the last to find forever homes. We are saving lives! If you are interested in fostering, click HERE.
VOLUNTEERS: We are always looking to grow our volunteer base. While we can’t do physical events right now, we are working hard to create virtual fundraisers and fun online happenings. We have a brand new Events Coordinator on our team, Amber, and she will be ready to hit the ground running when we can be together again. Stay tuned, we will need you!! DONATIONS:
We wanted to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated to Love-A-Bull during Amplify Austin in March. We were able to raise over $4,200 and corporate matches are still coming in!When we’ve asked for donations for special medical cases like Maple, Mama Ray and Clover, you’ve supported us. Even when we pull new dogs into our program and ask for donations, you don’t disappoint! We could not do what we do without your donations!
